CUPRESS
about
Charmed by the adaptability, loyalty, and generosity of trees
in the Cupressaceae family, Luke Aymon created the Cupress
audiovisual project to honor his kindred spirits by creating audio-visual qualia
designed to promote human adaptability, emotional intelligence, and self-actualization.
Cupress’s first full-length offering is currently in progress: a 25-minute album-video titled “A Fractal of Life.”
During a battle with cancer, Luke Aymon found himself forced to confront mortality. Questions arose:
he began to investigate what might happen if he crossed the divide right then and there.
“What remains after a tree has been felled? Above ground? And below?”
“A Fractal of Life” seeks to take the witness on a journey through the full breadth of life:
the highest of the highs, the lowest of the lows, and right back to the beginning again.
Cupress is currently creating and broadcasting audio-visual qualia
from the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
